Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV presenter in the US and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top eateries, learned about Italian food, its culture and traditions and has participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Early on, while growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great learning experience. I couldn't study or accomplish enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy, she developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. It has had a profound impact on the way that Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to enhance the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. She is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and travels across the nation in her mentorship role. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my true passion for life with people.
